Based on Decree of the Prague Public Health Office no. 12/2020 of 18 September 2020 (the “Decree”), as of 21 September 2020 restrictions are in place on full-time study at universities in Prague until 31 October 2020. In Pilsen, restrictions on full-time study are in place from 24 September 2020 until 31 October 2020 under Extraordinary Measure of the Pilsen Regional Public Health Office no. 5/2020. This Decree does not apply to faculties of Charles University outside Prague and Pilsen, and therefore not student dormitories. Dormitories remain in full operation despite this Decree.

Applicants for accommodation may move into their dormitory at any time. Reservations will not be cancelled and shall remain valid until 1 November 2020. Dormitory fees shall be payable only from the day on which the student moves into the dormitory and signs the Accommodation Contract.

If students have already paid their dormitory fees for September and October, but not yet moved into their accommodation and are planning arrive later, this payment shall be carried over to the next accounting period.

Students who moved into their accommodation before 14 September 2020, but are not attending practical teaching due to the restrictions on full-time study in Prague and Pilsen, may end their accommodation, i.e. terminate their Accommodation Contract, with immediate effect and without sanction. If they do this, a new reservation at their existing dormitory may be created for the student from 1 November 2020. The long-term deposit, or any dormitory fees, that they have already paid will be transferred to the new reservation. Accommodation Contracts may only be terminated on condition that all outstanding payments to DaC CU have been settled.

In case of any further questions or any queries, do not hesitate to contact us.
