Dear Students,

In reaction to the development of the epidemiological situation and following the meeting of the CU Crisis Team, I hereby inform you of the following:

Dormitories

During the examination period students who exercised the option of having their room “sealed” will be permitted repeated, non-continual stays at dormitories, for period of one or maximum two days, for the purpose of sitting exams. They will be charged dormitory fees in full for the time they spend at dormitories. When students leave the dormitory, their room will be “re-sealed”. In the event of doubt, students will be asked to provide evidence that their presence at the dormitory is directly related to the sitting of an examination.

Students who have exercised the option of having their room “sealed” will continue to receive a 50% discount on dormitory fees.

Should the prohibition on students staying in dormitories be lifted by Government directive and the relevant measures largely permit a return to the standard, in-person form of study, the option of leaving the dormitory, with the “sealing” of rooms, shall be terminated and students will have to decide whether to fully return to dormitories or to cancel their accommodation contract without sanction.

Students who, in spite of the above, decide to cancel their reservation of accommodation and not commence their stay at dormitories will have their reservation cancelled following a written request and without sanction or cancellation fee. The cancellation of reservations without sanction or cancellation fees is conditional on the settlement of all unpaid debts owed to CU Dormitories and Canteens.

Students who are accommodated at dormitories may still terminate their accommodation at any time without sanction of cancellation fees. The cancellation of a Contract without sanction or cancellation fees is conditional on the settlement of all unpaid debts owed to CU Dormitories and Canteens.
