Based on the relevant government decrees, and in view of the continued need for preventive epidemiological measures, the management of Charles University and of CU Dormitories and Canteens (DaC) hereby amends the rules for the accommodation of students at CU dormitories with effect from 10 December 2020 as follows:
1. Due to the current situation, dates for moving in to dormitories are further postponed. Applicants for accommodation can move in to dormitories at any time according to their own discretion. Valid reservations shall not be cancelled and shall remain valid for the summer semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. The payment of dormitory fees shall begin from the day of moving in to the dormitory following signature of an Accommodation Contract.
2. If, despite the above, a student decides to cancel their reservation for accommodation at a dormitory and not move in, their reservation shall be cancelled without the imposition of any sanctions or cancellation fees. Cancellation of a reservation without sanction or cancellation fee is conditional on the settlement of all outstanding debts owed to DaC CU.
3. Students accommodated at dormitories are still entitled to terminate their accommodation at any time without sanction or cancellation fees. Cancellation of a reservation without sanction or cancellation fee is conditional on the settlement of all outstanding debts owed to DaC CU.
